40mm stainless steel Oyster case and rotating bezel with black inlay. Automatic chronometer movement, gloss black dial with pattina'd hour markers and sapphire crystal glass. This is a VERY rare model. Made between mid 1987 to mid 1988, it was the transitional model between the 16800 and 16610 and varied from the 16800 due to the harder grade of steel used. This particular example comes complete with inner and outer box, chronometer papers dated 1988, hand books, swing tags, wallet, anchor, calendar, original sales receipt and Rolex service history. A rare find!
